Item Description
A 9 mm x 9 mm, sharp, highly lustrous, dark green, compound libethenite crystal is aesthetically set on matrix on this showy and excellent piece from a well-known mine in Zambia. The crystal has exceptional psuedo-hexagonal crystal form. Specimens of this very high quality came out in the 1970s and this mine closed in the 1980s. Considered to be some of the finest examples of the uncommon copper phosphate species in the world. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued at $200, five or more years ago.
