Item Description
Scintillating, gemmy to opaque, emerald-green to dark olive-green, orthorhombic, libethenite crystals richly line numerous small vugs on the oxide-stained quartz matrix on this very showy and excellent specimen from the Type Locality - Lubietova, Slovakia. Excellent, old and rich combination material from this famous locale. Comes with an older, 1800s label in German, that I believe calls it "diprismatic olivenmalachite". Ex Howard Belsky Collection. We have seen similar for $750-1000 at the Munich Show. This is a classic, rich, large and rare example and should be a very valuable addition to many collections.
