Item Description
The Tip Top pegmatite is renowned for its rare phosphate species and this showy and rich plate includes three of them. Sparkly, gemmy, olive-green, leucophosphite crystals and sparkly, gemmy, honey-brown jahnsite crystals line the vug on the front. The lower right corner is complimentary rose-pink hureaulite. The hefty matrix is massive to granular, lustrous, translucent, olive-green leucophosphite? From the collection of phosphate and South Dakota specialist, Chris Korpi, a former student of the late great Bill Roberts, who studied the unique Tip Top deposit extensively.
