Lepidolite with Quartz scepters

Item Description

This large plate of lepidolite has a lot going for it. It appears that there may be two generations of lepidolite, the first one being dark sulfur yellow and composed of interlocked crystals, to 2.0 cm across. The second generation has rosettes of light sulfur yellow, translucent, crystals, to 1.25 cm across. The piece de resistance is the cluster of parallel growth, slightly smoky, gemmy, quartz scepters, 6.0 cm in length, located at the left edge of the specimen. This is a major and uncommon lepidolite combination specimen! Valued at $750.
