Item Description

A striking and most unusual partial pseudomorph from the famous Pederneira Mine. Bright pink lepidolite has pseudomorphed the interior of two diverging lustrous and translucent, grass-green tourmaline crystals. Only the 1-2 mm shell of the tourmaline remains and the scattered cleavelandite blades add character and contrast. Amazing chemistry here! Lepidolite is fairly common from here, but a pseudomorph of this style and quality is extremely rare, possibly unique. Older material from 1980s and early 1990s mining. Value of such a rarity??
