Item Description
A beautiful Lepidolite from the Harding Mine in Taos County, California. This is a pretty good quality Lepidolite, with little pink color, it is more purple, which is uncommon in my experience with the material. As of the time I have posted this auction, it is still unclear if Lepidolite is a valid species, or will be redefined / renamed, or completely discredited. Nonetheless, do not miss out on this great large "Freeform Cabochon" gem of Lepidolite as these stones are not common on the market, especially with this kind of color and size. It should be noted that the Mica from the Harding Mine is often labeled as Lithian Muscovite, but this one came to us a being a Lepidolite.
