Lepidolite (Gary Hansen Coll.) - rare crystal habit

A very fine and rare older combination piece from this noted locale. A 6.8 cm cluster of intergrown, parallel-growth banded bundles of lavender to brown columnar lepidolite crystals are jauntily set on the subhedral albite matrix. The scintillating, pretty light lavender terminations on both sides really light up in bright light. The sawed faces on the albite have been polished to add pizzazz. This fine piece has many fine display views. Choice older material from the Gary Hansen Collection. This is a striking specimen of highly unusual style. Valued $1000-1250.
