Item Description
Lepidolite, cleavelandite and smoky quartz are common accessories on many of the outstanding gem specimens from the famous pegmatites of Brazil. RARELY do you see such a dramatic and well-formed large combination of the three together forming an outstanding and aesthetic specimen in their own right! Dramatic, thick opposing "books" of very large triangular lepidolite plates with beautiful lavender and pearlescent luster are artistically accented with an impressive rosette of glassy cleavelandite blades in the front and very well-placed scattered gemmy, striated smoky quartz crystals. Scattered small schorl crystals are a nifty bonus. The huge lepidolite plates reach about 7.7 cm long. The noted contacting to the tips of the smaller lepidolite "book" is certainly only a modest detraction. An outstanding, sculptural and RARE large combination of these common accessory minerals.
