Item Description

Rich purple color and high waxy shimmering lustre highlights this stout, sculptural, layered, cleaved five-sided lepidolite section from Taquaral. Two sides are pristine, the other three sides are cleavages. The ends are contacted, with no damage. The translucent piece GLOWS with beautiful rich violet color, when back lit. Lepidolite of this quality is uncommon from Taquaral - or ANYwhere for that matter. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection. Valued? Hard to say. It is an exceptional example of its species that could literally stand on a shelf next to tourmalines and fit in. It is really amazing, for a "mica species" specimen!
