Item Description
This area has produced some very attractive gem pegmatite crystals, but most people don't think of it as a big Lepidolite producer. Now it must be noted that Lepidolite is no longer a valid mineral species, and according to the scattered information we found, Lepidolite is defined as a mineral in the so-called Polylithionite-Trilithionite series. Regardless, this piece is a beautiful slice / cleavage of dual-colored Mica with a purple "Lepidolite" exterior and two golden "cores" of what is more than likely Muscovite. Very attractive with beautiful form and coloration.
