Item Description
An unusual and rarely seen specimen on the market, this is a specimen-worthy mica for any collection with translucent gemmy lepidolite crystals from the ancient Alto Ligonha District in Mozambique. Lepidolite is a lithium rich mica. This island of beautiful lilac to violet colored, pearly luster, spires of lepidolite mica books sits on a bed on muscovite with quartz and minor feldspar. If you look close there are also some associated partial crystals of pink tourmaline present. This unique gemmy lepidolite glows a lavender grape juice when backlit. It is much better in person! Ex.
