Item Description
An incredibly hard to find specimen of Leonite with Halite from the famous U. S. Potash Co. Mine in New Mexico. This locality is right next to the Kerr McGee Mine which is known for producing what are arguably the finest examples of Halite extant in terms of color, size and GEM clarity. This piece is a massive specimen of Leonite which is actually colored blue by micro Halite crystal inclusions. The combination is exceptionally rare in my experience as I've only seen two other specimens. If you collect rarities or minerals of New Mexico, don't miss out on this colorful and odd specimen from this famous specimen producing district. Valued at $400.
