Item Description

A rarely seen specimen of the hydrated copper arsenate Leogangite, which gets its name from the area around the type locality at Leogang, Salzburg, Austria. This piece is from the Daniel adit in the Schwarzleo District, which is one of the co-type localities for the species. The mineral was approved in 1998, and has been found in a few countries around the world. This specimen comes to us from the collection of Paolo Matioli and features micro greenish-blue Leogagnite on host rock matrix.
