Leifite (rare)

A wonderful rarity from the famous locality at Mont Saint-Hilaire featuring a free-standing, 1.0 cm crystal of Leifite sitting on Albite matrix with minor black prisms of Aegirine, along with a tiny bit of pink Serandite. Usually, Leifite is found in crystal groups and/or "sprays" from MSH, so to have an isolated crystal perched on matrix like this is rare, and very pleasing visually. An aesthetic and fine quality thumbnail specimen of this rarity from one of the world's great mineral-producing localities. Priced at $600 in the inventory. From the collection of Shields Flynn.
