Legrandite is a rare and highly sought after zinc arsenate species. It is certainly among the most desirable treasures in the mineral collecting world. The Legrandite specimens from the classic Mapimi mine stand as one of the greatest mineral occurrences extant. This thumbnail specimen is more of a reference piece featuring glowing yellow color, Legrandite on Limonite matrix. Most of the crystals are broken, but you can see some small crystal faces up close, hence the reason it's more of a reference specimen. Good specimens of Legrandite are seldom seen on the market, and I don't have to tell you that fine specimens sell for huge money these days. Legrandite is really known from only a handful of localities in good quality specimens, but none of them are anywhere as significant as those from Mapimi.
