Item Description
Legrandite is one of the three Holy Grail species from Mina Ojuela, along with purple (manganoan) adamite and scorodite. This is a fine and aesthetic miniature of a fairly large compound crystal, 2.2 cm, jauntily set on the gossan matrix. The lustrous crystal has rich color and zones of gemmy transparency to compliment the translucency. Most of the termination is contacted, which is common for such specimens. Excellent and very showy material from the famous finds of the1960s and 70s. Ex Consie Prince Collection.
