Item Description
This rare zinc arsenate is one of the most sought after treasures in the mineral collecting world. Legrandite from Mapimi is among the most famouns mineral occurences extant. This piece features a "sprays" lustrous, translucent, rich yellow color, monoclinic crystals of Legrandite on limonite matrix. The largest crystal measures 1.5 cm long. Good specimens of Legrandite are seldom seen on the market, and typically the best pieces go for big money. There are really a few localities in the world that produces Legrandites of any significance outside of the Mapimi, so don't miss out on this classic thumbnail specimen from this world famous lcoality.
