Item Description
Mineral specimens, in general are rare from this Brazilian State located in the Amazon River watershed. They are EXTREMELY RARE from the Paleoproterozoic lode gold deposits and related alluvial and eluvial placers in the Tapajos mineral province (MINDAT). This very fine, ultra-rare leaf gold thumbnail has sculptural form, luster and rich mellow gold color and is from a VERY obscure locality, not very close to the Tapajos River. The plastic box is 5.5 x 5.2 x 1.3 cm. Ex Matioli Collection. A MUST for the gold or locality collector!
