Item Description

Rich, royal-blue lazurite dodecahedrons, to 1.0 cm, cover the front of the marble with pyrite matrix on this showy piece from the Type Locality. Some bruising is noted to the crystals, but this remains a rich and highly representative example of the combination species and locale. Salmon-pink LW (calcite) and straw-yellow SW fluorescence (unknown) on minerals in the marble. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired in 1989, when they first came to the US market.
