Item Description
A very aesthetic miniature lazurite specimen from the famous Type Locality - Sar-e-Sang, Afghanistan. A 2.4 cm, sharp, doubly-terminated, well-exposed, royal-blue lazurite crystal is winningly perched atop contrasting white marble matrix. The crystal exhibits textbook, 4-sided, orthorhombic crystal form and is both complete all-around and pristine. RARE in this quality. The back of the crystal is contacted, but has no damage, per se. This is a way above average miniature lazurite from this noted locale. The base been sawed to enhance the outstanding display quality. valued $750
