Item Description
A remarkably SHARP and very well-formed, dodecahedron of deep royal blue Lazurite sits atop a contrasting white marble matrix. This species is also know as Lapis Lazuli, and is typically used for cabochons and carving in its massive form. Rarely are such sharp crystals found, and the majority of them tend to be rather lumpy, and rounded with a somewhat "melted" look. The main crystal, which measures 1.3 cm across, has a small accenting "sidecar" crystal for a nice touch. For the quality, size of the main crystal and overall aesthetics, this is certainly a worthwhile Lazurite from this most historic of localities. Virtually undamaged, and great quality for the species. Valued at $600-$700.
