Lazulite (superb color and quality)

When it comes to Lazulite, gem quality material is scarcely available on the market, and when you do find faceted stones, they're often quite dark. Many years ago in Bahia, Brazil there was a tiny discovery of what is certainly some of the finest gem grade Lazulite ever found, both in terms of color and clarity. As I mentioned, the majority of Lazulite gems are an inky blue color, but these stones from Bahia have vibrant sky blue color, which is almost never seen for the species. This stone is a great example of this incredibly hard to find material with that eye-catching blue shade, and an "Oval Brilliant" cut. The stone only has very very slight inclusions. A fantastic collector's stone for all you fans of rare gems or simply those who collect superb examples of any kind of stone.
