Lazulite & Quartz (Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

Sharp, lustrous, blue-black lazulite crystals to 1.0 cm are nestled in a dramatic forest of glassy quartz points on this very fine and uncommon combination plate from this noted Yukon locale. The tiered quartz crystals are indeed dramatic. Lightly bruised tips to some of the taller quartz points are barely noticeable. The periphery wear on the front has very minimal impact to the high quality of this combination specimen. The base has been sawed to ehance the considerable display quality. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and according to his label was collected by Darko Sturman of the Royal Ontario Museum in 1978.
