Item Description

Amazing RARE and rich 360-degree combination pseudomorph small cabinet from the famous New Jersey Prospect Park traprock quarry. Two generations of RARE ivory colored Laumontite blades along with strikingly contrasting brown oxides dramatically drape the front of the sculptural pseudomorph. One end shows the striking hole, where the translucent, mint-green prehnite crystals have casted a sharp anhydrite crystal. Three glassy, near transparent, colorless apophyllite crystals, to 1.3 cm, attached to the prehnite on the back are a fine and uncommon accessory. This well-known quarry opened in 1901 and operated into the early 2000s. The quarry pit is being filled in for future housing. A rare and exceptional Prospect Park pseudo combination. A must for the locality or species collector!
