Item Description

An impressive, rich and sculptural large two-sided wulfenite and mimetite combination from the 1990s finds at this famed Mexico locale. The "front" is richly festooned with classic, tiny rich orange mimetite botryoids and is dramatically accented on one end with a dense cluster of glassy, highly lustrous, translucent to transparent wulfenite windowpanes. The tilted edge shot presents another view of this rich combination cluster. The back has far fewer mimetites, but has far more wulfenites, especially at both ends. The water-clear 1.8 cm windowpane is visible at one end in the dense cluster visible on the front. Yes, the piece does have broken wulfies, but is certainly acceptable in the context of this rich and large combination. Ex Paul Zerfass Collection # 881. His label is incorrect, as the piece is from the San Francisco Mine. Here's your chance to get a large, rich and colorful highly representative two-sided combination example of the find and renowned locale at a reasonable price point.
