Lustrous, translucent, color-zoned "sandwich style", butterscotch-colored wulfenite prisms solidly cover this outstanding large undulating plate from Mezica, Slovenia. The prisms reach 1.3 cm on this very rich and showy old-timer. For the size and richness, this great piece is in fantastic shape. Classic large material from this ancient mining district. Rich and hefty ore, as the matrix is corroded galena! Mass is 1302 grams or 2.9 pounds. An exceptional, essentially pristine large specimen from the famed Vienna Natural History Museum Collection.
