Large Wavellite (excellent)

Item Description

Striking vugs, banding and starbursts of colorful, multi-colored, wavellite cover all three sides of this impressive large specimen from recent finds at Avant. The connected, lower sculptural vugs are lined with sparkly, dark apple-green botryoids, while the dramatic see-through vug on top is lined with moderate luster, almost forest-green, bladed botryoids. The spectacular, convoluted banding and starbursts have yellow-green bases/cores with highly chatoyant, radiating green needles. Just a bit of modest bruising is noted on the upper botryoidal field. All-in-all, a spectacular, important and colorful large specimen from this find. Valued at $1000-1250.
