Item Description
Such a large, rich wavellite specimen has not been seen in some time, until recent digging here (suymmer 2009-2010). The intense color make this a beautiful piece, and the size lends significance. Filling vugs in this brecciated, light gray matrix are literally HUNDREDS of botryoidal, lustrous (and slightly translucent), forest green, spheres of wavellite to 9 mm across. This specimen is from a new find at Avant, made in 2010. Valued $2000-2500
