Large Veszelyite matrix piece

Veszelyite is a rare copper, zinc phosphate species. They reached their worldwide zenith at the famous and closed Black Pine Mine in Montana back in the 1950s and 60s. That being said, this is a huge specimen from this famed locale. Translucent and lustrous, discrete to clustered, uniquely blue-green crystals to 7 mm are festooned on the sandstone matrix plate and nicely accented with bit of green chrysocolla. A bit of bruising is noted but has very minimal impact. EXTREMELY RARE in this large size and richness. 3.5 pounds or 1.6 kilos.
