Item Description
A bizarre form for this surreal large pyrite concretion from China. Nearly all specimens we've seen have a spheroidal shape. This pristine dramatic and very uncommon style looks like a decorated covered bowl or basket. Tiny, sparkling, sharp, modified, metallic Pyrite crystals have formed in amazingly concentric "rings" or "bands" on the shale concretion. They are some of the most unique specimens from finds about 10 years ago that I have seen from any locality. China never fails when it comes to producing exciting, unusual and unique material. A striking, fascinating large specimen.
