Item Description
An extremely large ulexite specimen from the borate deposits of California. The deposits have produced some really beautiful/oddball mineral specimens. Few are as unusual as ulexite, also called "TV rock" for its fiber-optic-like optical properties. You almost NEVER see a specimen this large. The impressive very elongated crystals have superior prismatic lustre and a pearlescent, white color. The ends are contact terminations from coming into contact with the pocket walls. Superb and large for the spcies and very rare as a specimen, instead of simply as cleavage masses!
