Large twinned Titanite, ex Obodda

Item Description

Mineral specimens are RARE from this obscure locality, located near famous Zagi Mountain. This is a striking and impressive large, twinned, tapered titanite blade. The very glassy, lustrous, transparent to translucent crystal is olive-green to clove-brown and has a razor termination. Complete all-around. One end is contacted with slight bruising. A clean vertical repair from the top to bottom of the crystal is noted. This remains a very large, highly representative and rare example of the species from this very uncommon locale. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $750, five or more years ago. Try to find another of this size and quality.
