Item Description
Hexagonite is the ultra-rare manganoan-rich variety of tremolite and is distinguished by its lilac to purple color. It is only found in two counties in New York. Hexagonite was supposedly a hexagonal form of tremolite, but was shown to be monoclinic. That being said, this is a solid two-sided plate of gemmy and lustrous, lilac hexagonite crystals and needles! Rich and large material from this well-known talc mine. Valued at $450. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON! Ex Charlie Key Collection.
