RARE, large and rich sulfur from the obscure Sulfur Pit locality in Nevada. Mineral specimens of any species from this pit are VERY RARE and are seldom on the market. Two generations of scintillating, gemmy, sharp, canary-yellow crystals are festooned on the large matrix plate from a small find in the mid-2000s. The larger, more isolated second generation crystals reach 9 mm on this rare and exceptional large sulfur from the Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection. A MUST for the species or locality collector!
