Large Stilbite cluster (ex Dr. Ed David Coll.)

A stunning, sculptural intergrown cluster of exceptionally large stilbite crystals from Nashik. The beautiful pearlescent bladed pink crystals have an exotic shimmer in bright light, that really adds pizzazz. The dramatic doubly terminated bowtie is 12.5 cm across. A couple of gemmy small apophyllites partially hidden in the 'V' of the large stilbites is a nifty accent. Nashik has produced many outstanding stilbite specimens, but this piece is truly large and exceptional in its form. Ex Ed David Collection. Ed was Science Advisor to President Nixon and assembled several world-class collections. Ed had a love of fine Indian specimens. Old piece, from the 1990s or early 2000s. Valued highly for size and rare quality - this is NOT the "common stuff" you can just buy any day on the market. Massive crystals and color like this, are hard to come by.
