Item Description

Dramatically sculptural large arborescent crystallized copper from a New Find at this super large Cu-Mo-Au deposit. The artistic flattened sturdy piece is dominated by the striking upright central "tree". The many branching "limbs" are composed of spinel-twinned crystals. Tiny euhedral to subhedral tetrahexahedral crystals are attached to some of the spinel-twins, adding character. The crystals have a beautiful patina and the bit of embedded quartz adds character. Both sides look great on this very aesthetic large specimen. Copper of this style compares favorably with classics from Michigan, Bisbee, Namibia or Kazakhstan. An exceptional large example from the find, one of the very best we received. Valued at $2500-3000.
