Large Spinel & Chondrodite on Quartz

A impressive, large and very rich spinel and chondrodite combination from Luc Yen. Juicy, gemmy, beautiful lavender spinel octahedrons, to 1.5 cm, are richly scattered on all sides and are starkly contrasted by the lustrous, translucent, burnt-orange chondrodite crystals. The large chondrodite on the end is 3.8 cm. The sculptural quartz matrix itself, is unusual, having a highly variable texture. The spinels fluoresce red. Combination specimens of this size, richness and quality are quite rare from Luc Yen. Valued at $2000-2250.
