Item Description
Rich and impressive large old-time combination material from an unknown locality in the famous Alston Moor District. The front of the sculptural two-sided rib is richly covered with splendent, sharp, jet-black sphalerite crystals and dramatically flanked by glassy, translucent, near colorless fluorite cubes. The back is festooned with tiny scintillating, gemmy, rubyjack sphalerites and richly sprinkled with tiny dolomite rhombs. Ex William Parrish and an East Coast Collection. The species on the label has been corrected. Purple fluorescence. A classic, very fine and rich old-timer from this well-known district.
