Large Spessartine Garnets w/ Schorl

An impressive and aesthetically intergrown pair of large spessartine garnets from Shengus. The sharp crystals, to a large 3.7 cm, are highly lustrous, moderately translucent and have lovely wine-red color. They are trapezohedrons with minor dodecahedral faces. Complete all-around. The back is accented with a 2.0 cm terminated schorl crystal and the attachment area has snow-white albite. The crystal glows cherry-red, when backlit! A dramatic and excellent pair of large Shengus spessartines.
