Item Description

Sharply terminated smoky quartz crystals of this impressive large size are RARE from famous Puiva, noted for world-class axinite and smoky quartz gwindel specimens. The light smoky very glassy, lustrous large crystal is transparent to translucent, with the interior veils adding character. The termination and prism faces are glass-clear or lightly frosted adding more interest. The large crystal is complete all-around and very nearly pristine, with only trivial edge wear near the termination and a very modest bit of side wear that is out-of-sight on the back side of the crystal. The side car crystal is pristine. The basal periphery wear and contacted have negligible impact to the overall high quality and rarity of this most excellent large smoky from 1980s finds.
