An impressive and rare large smoky quartz crystal from this less well-known Carroll County locality. The multiple parallel-growth terminations enhance the sculptural quality of this sharply terminated 360-degree piece. The crystal has striking water-clear areas with rich smoky color and high luster along with contrasting coated/frosted faces with matte luster, that add much character. The backlit photo is very exotic looking! Complete all-around. The dinged termination edge is mostly out-of-sight in the primary display view and the few gently bruised prism edges are certainly only a modest detraction to this very fine and rare large smoky from this locale.
