Three sides of the remarkable large, very stout, sharply terminated, hexagonal rich smoky quartz crystal are richly included with clay particles and rise up to form a stunning phantom in the gem termination. The lower part of the crystal is translucent to opaque, due to the clay particles. An impressive and complete all-around 360-degree smoky quartz. Basal contacts where other crystals once lay have minimal damage and a trivial bit of edge wear are noted. 1767 grams or 3.9 pounds mass. Ex Paul Zerfass Collection.
