Large Smoky Quartz gwindel w/ Chlorite (Belsky Coll.)

Item Description

An impressive, large smoky quartz gwindel with an enhancing side car crystal cluster and coated with sparkly microcrystalline chlorite. The gwindel has fine color, is very well formed and is slightly twisted. The lustrous smokies are water-clear, hard to see beneath the chlorite. Complete all-around, there are adularia and epidote crystals attached around the base. The upper portion of the gwindel is pristine, except for the contacting at the small adularia clusters. The side car cluster on the front is essentially pristine. The lower side car smoky on the back is broken. This remains a very fine, large and highly representative example of the combination species from an unknown Swiss locality.
