Item Description
This gigantic compound scepter has to be seen to be believed - very dramatic! The head is composed of dozens of gemmy, doubly-terminated Smoky Quartz crystals. The Smokies average about 2 cm in size, have excellent luster and, remarkably, only a few have suffered any damage in what had to be a torturous extraction process given the small pockets in which these form, deep in the difficult rock. The few that are damaged, get lost in the visual complexity anyhow. To give you an idea how large and impressive this is, the stalk itself is an incredible 9 cm across. A remarkable specimen. Very few have been found of this magnitude, let alone recovered, like this. A massive large specimen weighing 4.6 pounds. valued $1200-1500
