Large Smoky Quartz

Item Description

A classic and dramatic, CABINET, smoky quartz crystal from Colorado. This sharply terminated, glassy giant, is water-clear to translucent and has preferentially lightly frosted faces. The color is rich smoky, which is nicely complimented by the bit of microcline at the base. This excellent larger specimen is from a recent find at the Dreamtime Mine in Teller County. The sculptural, complete all-around crystal was expertly collected, with very minimal damage overall, just a trivial bit of termination wear. Out-of-sight contacting on the lower back has no damage, per se. Valued at $600-800 by the former owner, Adam Sotomayor, who collected it.
