Item Description
A sculptural, huge 1 mm thick silver vein ("sail") is dramatically exposed on top of beautifully iridescent massive bornite matrix on this impresssive large and very rich two-sided combination ore specimen from the famous San Martin Mine. The thin film or crust of iridescent bornite on both sides of the silver vein adds even more pizzazz. Hefty, rich and seldom available classic San Martin "ore" at 7.3 pounds or 3.3 kilos mass. This remarkable piece displays well without aid. It is the biggest showy example of this silver style that I have seen from the mine, and displays magnificentaly in a case. Value?
