Large Siderite xls on Quartz (Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

Impressive, very large, blocky, sharp, tan, interpenetrating siderite rhombs aesthetically set on a quartz crystal fragment form a dramatic large specimen from Panasqueira. The two nifty accenting clusters on the left rhomb are brassy arsenopyrites coated with tiny siderites and chacopyrites. Tiny siderites cover sulfide crystals on the right rhomb. Complete all-around. Three spots of corner wear and two spots of side wear/contacting are noted. This remains a fantastic 360-degree, large siderite rhomb specimen. Siderite crystals of this size are uncommon from this famous locale. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
