Item Description

The Chino Mine is famous for beautiful, sharp spinel-twinned copper specimens. Sheet copper is relatively rare. This impressive large, sculptural, wafer-thin piece resembles a brain coral or a fish with a broad snout and tail and large dorsal fin. The embedded matrix adds contrast to the copper patina. Rare and choice large self-collected material from the Art Soregaroli Collection. I have not seen a bigger example on the specimen market!
