Item Description

A dramatically distinctive large combination cluster of VERY RARE water-clear selenite (gypsum) crystals attached to matrix from this antimony-gold mine. Striking elongated hematite runs downs the length of all four selenite crystals (two vertical crystals lie atop each other). The well-placed curved selenite crystal is a fantastic accent. The waxy luster selenite has striated faces, that further enhance the piece. The piece is in great shape for such a soft mineral. The curved crystal termination is all there, with an undamaged contacted back side. The encased selenite termination is pristine and both ends of the atypical perpendicular selenite are broken. These were originally sold as stibnite in gypsum, but it is actually disseminated grains of hematite.
