Item Description

Dramatic diverging sprays of very large, glassy, highly lustrous, translucent to transparemt scolecite prisms form a most impresssive and sculptural large specimen from Nashik. The stout size of the crystals is remarkable. The small sharp apophyllites scattered on the terminations and on the prism sides are a super accent. A noteworthy large 360-degree specimen from the Dr. Franesco Bedogne Collection # 2366. Dr. Bedogne, 1942-2012, was a well-known Italian mineralogist, prolific author, field collector and collector. Read his biography in the Mineralogical Record Biographical Archive: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=118. MUCH better in person! The high luster and glassiness made photography difficult. MUCH BETTER in person!
